Bowers & Wilkins CM Series
Bowers & Wilkins makes the world’s most advanced home cinema, hi-fi and iPod® speakers, and are used by Abbey Road Studios and music lovers everywhere.
“The best loudspeaker isn’t the one that gives the most, it’s the one that loses the least.” – John Bowers, Bowers & Wilkins founder, 1966.
At Bowers & Wilkins, music is our very reason for being and our mission, as a company, is to achieve absolute perfection in sound reproduction. We believe that a high fidelity loudspeaker should be to the ear what a flawless plane of glass can be to the eye: the sound image should be able to pass through it undistorted, faithful in every detail to the integrity of the original.
With the new CM Series, beauty runs far more than skin deep. Beneath the minimalist exteriors technologies such as Decoupled Double Dome tweeters set a new bar for audio performance. The result is beautiful sound.
CM10 Series 2RRP $6,500 Contact us for advice
The flagship floorstanding speaker of the CM Series sets a new standard for performance. It combines technologies taken from across our ranges. The result simply sounds and looks beautiful.
The CM10 S2 was the first speaker to feature not only a Tweeter On Top, but a Decoupled Double Dome Tweeter to boot. Given the stellar performance these technologies deliver, the new CM10 S2 retains them for a stunningly accurate high-end response.
While the Tweeter On Top remains, inside the CM10 S2 key changes mean this already stunning sounding speaker sounds better than ever. A Mundorf EVO capacitor delivers a simplified crossover, while Van den Hul internal wiring, a Nickel-plated terminal tray and Anti Resonance Dust Plugs on the drivers mean every major internal component has been improved.
It’s not just internal improvements either. Outside, the CM10 S2 now, in keeping with the rest of the CM Series, features minimalist fixings, a redesigned protective speaker grille and a choice of three finishes that are now available across the majority of the CM Series, including Rosenut real-wood veneer.
CM5 Series 2RRP $2,199 Contact us for advice
As well as now featuring a Decoupled Double Dome Tweeter, CM5 S2 features a 165mm Kevlar® cone bass/midrange driver with Anti-Resonance Plug dustcap. The result is power, with precision, from a small shelf or standmounted speaker.
Every key component in the CM5 S2 has been improved, like the rest of the CM Series, in the pursuit of audio performance. Updated internal wiring, a Mundorf capacitor in the crossover and a nickel-plated terminal tray all help the new CM5 S2 deliver precise, powerful audio.
No detail has been left untouched. Even the CM Series stand has been redesigned. The new FS-CM S2 now features integrated cable management and is designed to be sand-filled for improved damping. The result, again, is better sound.
CM1 Series 2RRP $1,399 Contact us for advice
The Decoupled Double Dome Tweeter uses an aluminium dome and ring combined for lightness and rigidity, preventing distortion. A ring of gel cushioning decouples the tweeter from the cabinet for improved imaging and dispersion and a more natural, spacious treble.
As well as the new tweeter, every key component inside the CM1 S2 cabinet is improved. Like the rest of the CM Series, it uses new, improved crossovers, internal wiring and input terminals. The results sound stunning for such a small speaker. And it’s beautiful: choose from Satin White, Gloss Black or Rosenut real-wood veneer.
CM9 Series 2RRP $4,499 Contact us for advice
The CM9 S2 is a commanding presence in any room thanks to its two 165mm Kevlar® bass drivers and 150mm Kevlar® FST midrange. These are backed by high-quality components, for a winning combination of absolute power and pinpoint precision.
That precision is also thanks to the use of a Decoupled Double Dome Tweeter. Higher frequencies are delivered from a lighter, more rigid and more isolated tweeter for a far more accurate response.
The power and precision of the CM9 S2 is further complemented by its stunning looks. Available in Satin White, Rosenut real-wood veneer and Gloss Black, all with all-metal and minimalist finishes, the CM9 S2 looks every bit as beautiful as it sounds.
CM6 Series 2RRP $2,999 Contact us for advice
The CM6 S2 with Tweeter On Top design stands out from the crowd – not just in terms of looks but, more importantly, performance. Separating tweeter from cabinet aids imaging and dispersion, creating a more lifelike sound and a better sense of space.
The CM6 S2 tweeter isn’t just physically separated from its cabinet – it also uses our new Double Dome construction technique. An extra aluminium ring reinforces the rear of the main tweeter diaphragm, improving its rigidity. The result is stunning clarity and tonal purity
As with the rest of the CM Series, every key internal component has also been improved in the new CM6 S2. And externally subtle tweaks in design deliver improvements too – with cabinet fixing screws now invisible for a cleaner look, and three stunning finishes to match any room, including Rosenut real-wood veneer.
CM Centre Series 2RRP $1,099 Contact us for advice
CM Centre S2 positions a 25mm Decoupled Double Dome Tweeter high inside the cabinet. The result is sparkling high frequency clarity – ideal for picking out dialogue in movies beautifully.
As well as an improved tweeter, CM Centre S2 also features two 130mm Kevlar midrange drivers in a symmetrical design, now with Anti-Resonance Dust Plugs for smoother response and increased sensitivity.
CM Centre S2 is also designed to look as beautiful as it sounds, matching the rest of the CM Series far more closely in design. That means new magnetic protective tweeter grille designs and availability in all three finishes to match other CM Series speakers.
CM Centre 2 Series 2RRP $1,799 Contact us for advice
Key to the power and poise of CM Centre 2 S2 is the combination of a 100mm FST Kevlar® midrange driver and two 165mm Kevlar® bass drivers. The result is more than enough power to fill the largest of home cinema rooms. As well as serious bass and midrange drivers, and a new Decoupled Double Dome Tweeter for crystal clear dialogue and high-frequency response, CM Centre 2 S2 also features improved key internal components. These include the crossover, wiring and terminals. The result is a centre speaker that sounds superb.
CM Centre 2 S2 now also features subtly improved external design tweaks to bring it into line with the rest of the CM Series. Magnetic tweeter grilles, nearly invisible cabinet construction fixings and a full choice of all three finishes to match the rest of the CM Series means CM Centre 2 S2 looks as beautiful as it sounds.

CM8 Series 2RRP $3,499 Contact us for advice
With a cabinet just 165mm wide, CM8 S2 will fit in any room. And thanks to concealed fixings and a minimalist, magnetic and protective tweeter grille, CM8 S2 combines subtle stylish looks with modern, practical design.
Key to its slim profile is the use of two 130mm Kevlar bass drive units combined with a 130mm Kevlar FST midrange. The FST driver uses “surroundless” suspension to improve crossover with the tweeter, give a faster response and improve accuracy through the midrange.
Of course, CM8 S2 isn’t designed solely to deliver power in a smaller form factor. With an FST midrange and Decoupled Double Dome Tweeter for increased rigidity and isolation from the cabinet, CM8 S2 is also designed for precise audio response.
PV1D SubwooferRRP $2,099 Contact us for more advice
When you’ve pushed the boundaries of technological design further than anyone thought possible, what do you do? Simple: you keep pushing. The PV1 has long been regarded as something of an icon in domestic subwoofer design, both for its striking shape and superlative sonic performance. But by introducing a digital dimension for the upgraded PV1D, we think we’ve gone one better.
The PV1D’s inherent stability means it can be pushed just that bit further. The symmetrical mounting of its twin drive units keeps the subwoofer perfectly balanced and anchored to the floor. So there’s no rattle when it rumbles. The back-to-back arrangement also further improves the distribution of pressure inside the speaker. Coupled to an all-new amplifier generating 400 watts of power, the drivers have the dynamics and control to deliver all a subwoofer should. A big sound from a small bubble.
Adopting the digital platform developed for our flagship DB1 subwoofer allows the PV1D to be fine tuned and controlled with more precision than its predecessor. Do you love the visceral deep-bass impact of special movie sound effects? Or maybe you prefer a flatter response, to compensate for a more resonant listening environment? Whatever your listening tastes, with a full range of EQ options at your disposal, the choice is entirely up to you.
